As part of our Select-A-Sil® program, Siltech has developed two kits to aid in the formulation of personal care products. The concept is to provide formulators a method of rapidly evaluating formulation modifications.

Wetting Kit – This kit is provided to allow the formulator to add small amounts of wetting agents to evaluate the effect of improved wetting on hair care, skin care, sun care and AP formulations. With the addition of 0.2% by weight of the different materials, sensory properties can be evaluated in existing or new formulations. Wetting effects the sensory perception of virtually all personal care products and is often overlooked by formulators.

Emulsification Kit - This kit is provided to allow the formulator to evaluate the efficiency of emulsifiers for the preparation of water in oil emulsions. Preparation of this type of emulsion often is a difficult undertaking. This kit is designed to allow for a systematic approach to product selection.
